Help me find my Sports Edition Rim

so a year ago i bought 4 new tires and wheels from tire rack after reccomendation from you all, thanks no problem last year. This year the very same day I put on my snow tires I got hit a metal plate on a highway that was out of place. It destroyed my front two tires and my right front rim (i'm not really exactly sure how the plate was able to do so much damage, but i need new ones) now being so late in the season of winter replacement ries and wheels may be hard to find. Even more so when the rim you have is no longer in production. So here is my deal I need a single, Sports Edition Fox 2SP 949401 Carbon Gray rim, the invoice says exactly

SE949401CG 17X17 5-112 ET35 Fox 2SP 949401 Carbon Gray.

Now this is for new york city winter driving so i don't really care about aesthetics. If the rim is used but in good shape, or even if its a different rim in the same price range, and looks somewhat similar that would be cool. I have searched a bit for the rim online, but I can't seem to find it anywhere, though i may be searching the wrong area. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

A picture of the rim, and the rims on a civic can be found at

If i can find a rim that looks like this, and will be ok to put on my car without messing it up that would be ok too.

I'm no help, but TireRack seems to sell the Fox 2 rim in silver, not the darker color that you have... what I would do is call up TireRack and ask them if they have this rim in the dark color at all available somewhere..

if only the silver rim is available, consider ordering it and then painting/powdercoating all 4 your wheels (probably $300-400 total?).

note the same wheel

the new fox 2 is an inch wider, and has a 50 mm off set instead of a 35 mm off set. I thought of that already, tire rack can't give me any single rim to solve my problem. Thats why i'm trying to find someone who can get me that wheel, cause my other option is to buy four new rims, and at this point in the season the only things available would cost over a grand, and all for a $140 rim.

To help in your search the name of the wheel company is 'Fox Racing' (not related to Fox Racing Inc. who makes motorsports products)

The name of the wheel is simply Sports Edition 2 and not SP2/SP that must be a Tire Rack rename.

Also seems to be popular in the UK and Australia not much so here so that is going to make things a little more difficult.

I know we shouldn't be posting ebay links but I doubt a vendor can find these so try asking this seller a question he has tons of Fox wheels:

oh crap...ok so it seems many call the this line not Fox Racing wheels branded but instead by branded:

'Sport Edition' so start looking for them

oh and I found a seller for $125 each:

I just hope they have it in stock

if they only have it in silver he could take them all for powdercoating or DIY it

So I finally got intouch with one place, and they don't have anymore at all. The person i spoke to told me in the past two weeks he has had over 30 calls of people looking for this rim. Since each car has variations when you buy a wheel from tire rack they use some sort of kit to cutomize the wheel for your car. Therefore if i buy a used one I need to find one off an RX8 or need to find somoene who can adjust the kit so the customization to fit my car. I don't know much more about the process so any adittional information would be helpful.

So now I have three rims that are apparantly impossible to get. They are in perfect condition, and anyone who has a set of four of these shoudl have a spare sitting in thier garage so they don't endup in the situation I am in. Anyone who bought the Sports Edition Fox 2 17x7 rim could private msg me, and we could continue the conversation. Thanks again for all your help, especially truemagellen who was so helpful.

as sought after as they may be, the rims i would be selling would need to go onto an rx8, or need to be taken to someone who knows what they are doing to adjust it to fit another car. since i dont' care about trying to make a killing on these rims, just make something back, and since its best for an rx8 to have them on, i figured if anyone (or three) on this site needs one like i did, i could cut them a slightly better deal.

they aren't necessarily RX-8 specific...and with spacers it can fit an even larger range of cars

besides some want just the rear anyway for drifting
