Help! Messed up with engine oil!
#27
Hi:
One quart of 20W-50 in four isn't going to appreciably harm the engine, especially in warm weather. I wouldn't worry about driving it for a bit but I also wouldn't drive it into the winter months at all with that thick oil in it.
I was afraid you'd done something truly harmful, like pouring washer fluid into the engine (don't laugh, it happens all the time).

I'm actually confused by the 1.7 reference in the manual
[QUOTE=SpinninAgain!]Fact #1
The flat area of the dipstick between the low mark and the high mark represents 1.7 US quarts. It's in your owner's manual.
The exact references in the manual are as follows:
L (US qt, Imp qt) / 1.7 (1.8, 1.5)
I'm not sure why both the U.S. quart and Imperial quart are parenthesized, yet the 1.7 is outside and TWO other numbers are parenthesized in the other references. Maybe I'm just **** since I draft legal documents for a living, but if I were somewhere that uses Imperial quarts, I'd be REALLY confused. Any explanations?

if it's not adding to much 5w20 in to that is't not really matter.. just go to do the oil change again.
tell they u add the wrong oil into the engine. and they will clean it up for u. no worry.
rotary is strong.. (let's pray for u)

The way I'm reading what you got there (not going to any other reference material or anything):
1.7 Liters (or "Litres" for those of you who can't spell )
1.8 US Quarts
1.5 Imperial Quarts
