Help! Ordered wrong tire size
I ordered two 225/45ZR18 Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum for my 2004 Rx 8 (from Tirerack) not realizing that I had been running 4 225/55 16 OEM Bridgestone Protenza.
I only have 20000 miles on the tires and they started getting dry rot where the grooves recess on the bottom of the tire, about 3 years ago, so decided to not replace w OEMs.
Im assuming I cant just replace 2 of the OEMs, and I am not sure now if I want to exchange them with the same tire size.
My concern is !) will the 18s run better than the 16s in the snow and 2) which would be better for gas consumption.
Thanks in advance
Kimmy

If you car has 16 inch rims you will need to get 225/55/16. Do you understand what the number stand for?
225 indicates this tire is 225 millimeters across from the widest point of its outer sidewall to the widest point of its inner sidewall when mounted and measured on a specified width wheel
55 indicates that this tire size's sidewall height
16 indicates the tire and wheel diameter designed to be matched together
