Get new rims too. The 16" ones on the AT equipped non-sport models are not the best.

 

Congrats on purchase. Just do some searching around the forum to find out where to start modding your 8.

I'd go for rims first. Then add the other stuff that you like. With rims probably means tires as well.

Very nice! I'd swap out the rims, preferably the Mazda OEM chrome ones like I have.

Rim prices depend on what you want. You might be able to find a good deal on a 2nd hand set of Mazda 18" 5-spoke rims or new rotary ones. The tire change will cost depend on what you choose. Check out www.tirerack.com. The stock 18" tire size is 225/45R18.

 

definitely you need new wheels and tires, and perhaps a short shifter.
