Hey guys My clutch problem Plz help

hey guys i just had a question i search around for this problem but cant seem to find anything. My clutch makes a popping sound when my car is on...if i step on it all the way in it pops pops and than its fine....i am worried that it mite break while driving???

should i be worried

Come on guys, this is a potentially life-threatening issue.

Yes you should worry about the clutch (pedal) breaking while driving. I can't imagine how you haven't heard of this issue, but please do a search for clutch pedal brackets failing. It's been discussed to death, I think I saw a new thread about it like yesterday.

srry guys thnx for reply but i was wondering in those threads it says if its squeaking mine is making like a popping noise???

same thing?

I would imagine popping is worse then squeaking.
mine squeaked and when the clutch pedal was removed (by Charles R Hill) he noted that the welds were already flexing and my pedal was doomed to fail soon.

If it's popping, there is a chance your pedal has damage that requires immediate attention.
look through the thread by NYCGPS (do a quick advanced search and look at threads created by) and you'll find pictures of what to look for when inspecting the pedal. I think Kwescott posted some good pics in the first few pages of that thread.

Mazda will charge you an arm and a leg.
Check the pedal out tonight, it's not very hard to do just have a flash light handy.

If it looks broken, send a pm to Charles R. Hill and he can send you a new clutch pedal that has been rewelded to ensure it won't break again. Either that or have a local welder look at the pedal and see if it's fixable.
Removing the clutch pedal and reinstalling it isn't very difficult, just requires working in a tight spot. Heck, there might even be a DIY around here somewhere.
