Talking Hi

I just picked her up yesterday. My first newcar, first stick shift. I'm still getting used to it, but I'm already in love.

Welcome to a great resource, now remember to use the search button and beware of the fear mongering that does happen. The cars are great, you're going to love it.

I've been lurking for the past week and I've already bookmarked a bunch of threads on replacing the stock Bose sound system with something decent. After that, maybe I'll splice a computer into the factory nav system.

No other mods planned unless they are required (grounding upgrades, wrapping the AC in some sort of thermal blanket to keep it cool)

This is not a joke. After your break in period . . . Drive it like you stole it. These engines are meant to be run. Carbon build up is an issue you need to take care of regularly. (redline)

I am not the expert, so ask around. But every rotary mechanic I have spoken to tells me to drive it hard now and then.

Oh . . if you do not have the screens to protect the radiator and other front end, low hanging. expensive parts . . . get some

Other than that . . . Just enjoy the car.

Welcome and congrats, I just bought an 8 a few weeks ago. It was also my first new car. Have fun driving around the bay area, I hear the weather there is bliss, traffic not so much.

Actually, it adds 15mph to your top speed, but only when clocked by a cops radar gun.
