Hi..im new!
Hello Everyone
I bought a 2004 Mazda RX-8 Manual Transmission last friday and im loving it.
Im not that good with cars, so you might see some "amateur" questions from me hehe.
I just got back from the Mazda dealership where i did an oil change (synthetic).
They did the basic inspection and recommended:
Rear Sway Bar has play (How important is this?)
Passenger DRL OUT? Im not sure what that means either and how imporant it is
Drivers out tie rod end has play (that part i ordered right away and will have it changed tomorrow, they said its the most imporant)
When I bought this car, the previous owner told me to rev the RPM to 3,000 and hold for 15 seconds and kill the power. Then i came upon this forum and read that it doesn't make a difference so im confused there too....HELP!
Thanks!

Play? Depends on how much play. A loose swaybar will be noisy at low speeds over bumpy roads. It really comes down to where the play is, in the brackets? then tighten them. If the play is at the endlinks, that will be noisy and you can try and tighten them to spec. If the swaybars or the endlinks are aftermarket, you may have to dig for another solution. A picture will help here. Search the forums to see what a swaybar is if you are unfamiliar.
Daytime running light. Basically your headlight comes on during the daytime. Not a big deal if you are in the USA, but Canada mandates that all cars have DRL functioning. The report is saying that your DRL bulb is not functioning.
Correct
