HID conversion kit

Anyone know if this is a good price? And does anyone have the 10000K bulbs? It is supposed to be a deep blue and think it would look good with the WB car color. If someone has the 10000K HIDs can you post a picture of them on at night? Appreciate it! searched and found threads on HIDs, just none specifically about the 10000K. One post mentioned them and said he would post pics but never did.

price includes choice of bulb.

8000k is blue, 12000k is purple, so I'm not sure what the 10000k will look like. With the color of your car, I would go with the 8000k. I have them and it is just the right blue for your car.

Don't know if that's a good price or not, but let us know how they work out if you get em. I may pick some up if they're legit.

Thats very cheap for a HID conversion kit . I paid nearly $500 for mine. Im guessing 10000k will be close to purple, my friend has 12's and I have 8's, I prefer blue anyday over purple.

That price is not bad I got a bohman kit for mine and it was like 250 and the install was easy except not a lot of mounting room on the passenger side but never the less the conversion kit is worth it

not sure what the kit would be lacking. includes the following:

2 x HID bulbs
2 x Ballasts with securing mounting brackets
2 x power cables or 1 x relay harness (built in 25A fuse)

if you scroll down towards the bottom it talks about 6000K 8000k 10000K and 12000K and that the 8000K emits bluer than the 6000K but the 10000K states its deeper blue. the pictures they have up dont do it justice.. thats why I asked about the coloring.

I wouldn't do it.

I would post a link about some good HID kits I have in my favorites, but this isn't my computer, so I'll post it when I get on mine tomorrow.

The $100 ebay ones are junk and usually don't last a year, spend a little more and get a brandname. Don't get any thing greater than 6000k or it will actually hurt vision. Notice none of the brand names make over 6000 k.

Several AZMC people including myself run the Apexcone HID kits and have had very good luck with them. I have an 8,000k 55 watt kit which with the 55 watt the bulb burns more like a 6,000k. I know with the Apexcone 10k is dark blue.

Most respectable kits are between $150 - $200 now it seems. I can't see spending much more unless you had to upgrade to projectors which the 8 already has.

Heya there.

I highly recommend HID kit from this website, I bought 6k lights and it looks awesome. It is more like stock HID but with a blue hue.

Also, when I installed I didn't even need to drill anything, it was perfect fit. Only thing is the ballast I screwed onto the wheel well from the inside.

Really? So the ones in new BMW's and Mercedes are junk? They both are in the 8000k range. What are the "brand names"?

sylvania/osram, hella, phillips. What bulbs do the BMW's and Mercedes use. I have not seen one of the above brands making anything other than 6300k. They look about that when I pass them on the road.

A ton of info here on the kits. http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/index.php

Maybe your right about those brands only making bulbs in the 6000k range. Everything I've read so far isn't against other brands and higher K ranges. The kits by those manufactures you listed are in the $600 range. Kits made out of Korea are regarded as some of the best at a much lower price. By the way, I found Hella kits on EBAY too.

Most the ebay kits are hella knockoffs. You should be able to find OSRAM ballasts new for around $150 each + $50 for the bulbs. Used they usually go for around $25-50 for a working ballast and $25-50 for the bulbs. I pieced together a couple sets for my motorcycles last year. I had friends that went the knock root and none of them had the ballasts make it a year. Mine are all still going after being abused on dirt bikes. Just watch out because alot of the headlights and ballasts are from flood damaged cars.
