high revs in park
Ok, all you speed racers, manul rx owners look the other way for a moment please.
If I rev my engine to 6,250 or a up to around 7k in Park once I have been driving for awhile would that have the same effect as being in a gear and hitting that same rpm range?
For me, being 50 and having the automatic (07), I find it more fun to run in the 3 to 6k range though mostly the 3 to 5ish range. There I said it, the rotary gods can banish me to the outter world if needed. I find the car fun to drive, nice to listen to even if I don't drive at 6k every day for long periods of time.
Ok, speed racers and manual stick drivers can look again.
ride safe.

I presume the question is around carbon clear-out, and the whole 'drive it like ya stole it' thing.....
No, a rev to 7k is not going to do much, if anything - you would need load to make the EGT soar, and wide open throttle to get gas density and velocity up.
You say '50' like you should be on one of those little electric scooters......

Thanks for the reply.
Yes I hear you though still the fact remains that I enjoy riding her in the 3k to under 6k range more times then not. Was just looking for s 'short cut' way to deal with the carbon.
