I'm getting ready to turn 163,000 on original motor/tranny! She still doesn't miss a beat and will gladly put up with me when I wanna give her some hell. Granted she has been very well taken care off during my time of owning her. :]

cars.com has a 2007 RX8 with 272,422 miles on it - $6,000. No, it's not mine but shows that you CAN put some miles on an RX8.

It's a buyer's market; find a nice, lower-mileage 8 for an insanely low price. In other words, steal a great car. That's what I would do. |

If 8's are not in demand, and if owners are desperately trying to sell them, including many with low mileage, why would you consider buying that one?

04 6speed with 160,000 miles....
Original motor, clutch, transmission. Just regular maintenance and a daily redline or two(or three or four). |
Hit 133,000 this morning. I was recently worried about engine issues after some rough starts, but after replacing the coils, all is back to normal. It still feels fast to me, but you'd have to see how slow the other six cars I've owned were. :)

Just hit 244k kms on original engine and tranny, CLutch was replaced 7 months (35k kms) ago
