Holy Influx of New Owners!

Yeah the low price tag of some of the older models attracts a lot of kids. Don't worry they come and go pretty fast. Give it a few months before they seize the engine and then post that their engine burnt like 3 quarts of oil in a 3 month time frame and now the engine won't start.

Well it happens with most models, it's to be expected. The original sticker on my 04' Touring was over $32,000.00, One of our local young guys just got a dealer maintained 04' GT with 28k on it for $10,000.00 cash. Another one of our local members paid like $13,000.00 for her 07' GT with less than 30,000 miles on it.
But it happens to all cars. My boss has several cars but he needed a new daily so he bought a brand new Acura MDX cash and was going to trade his 2003 Mercedes S55 AMG with only 50,000 miles (maintained perfectly) in to offset the cost and they only wanted to give him $20,000.00 for it. I thought that was BS but when I checked that was about the going price.
So, he just kept it and is waiting for his youngest daughter to turn 16. Pretty cool that you can get a S Class AMG with a supercharged V-8 for $20,000.00.

I zoom therefore I am.
the more "kids" who come to the car and start spending money on mods, the less expensive some of those mods become. As well as those mods become easier to find.

so remember, be a buddy to the kids. If they notice the AEM intake, explain why it's better in your opinion then the noise maker (aka typhoon II)
the exhaust? your ignition? etc.
You dont have to go Edward James Olmos on them, but the more you help them in the beginning if they're asking for it, they better it is for everyone down the road

this happens every year about this time. The new year rolls over people pay of a bill with their tax refunds and the car because cheaper so a new influx of owners happens.
quite a few of them will either break the car, wreck the car, or go oh **** I cant afford a 10k car working part time at mcdonalds and be forced to sell or get rid of the car, further lowering the value.
but as said above this is every single model out there.

Hahha tbh the Mazda crowd is quite old and actually take the time and research to know their car. I went to one meet and I was the youngest.
Its a matter of time that these "kids" you speak of will wrap these cars around trees and increase our low insurance rates.
