Im in upstate NY here. There was a lot of hype but not too much damage. I know that NYC got it really bad though... I know 1 user (i think its NYCGP) at least is in NYC. I hope every one there is safe, no matter what area they were in when they got hit.

Thanks, big rooster! We're okay on the Manhattan's Upper West Side, but the Hudson is just a 15 minute walk from here, as is that dangling crane in midtown. My 8 is safely parked in a garage uptown.
We had not a lot of rain, but very heavy gusts (over 70mph) and, of course, the storm surge everyplace on the water. For me, the weirdest thing was knowing that – with the subways, buses, bridges, tunnels and ferries shut down – there was no way to leave the island!

a lot of hype as i predicted.
ups delayed my shipment, it was supposed to arrive yesterday.
this is all the information i can get...
"Hurricane activity near the final destination may impact delivery of your shipment."
It was a PLX KIWI bluetooth obdII reader. They better get their power back and send the trucks out soon.

Thanks for the concern. Southern New Jersey here. Close enough that I got a nice 2 hour calm as the eye passed just 20 miles south of our house.
The wind was completely insane. First from the north for hours and hours and hours, then calm, then winds out of the south for hours and hours and hours. Totally sucked. Glad to see that b$&tch outta here. Even more glad I don't live on the coast. They got hammered. Hope everyone there is okay. My brother in law bought a place in Wildwood in July. He's anxious to get down there to see what's broken.

Glad to hear many of you are doing just fine, seeing a lot of the news reports kinda got concerning. Though the houses up there never really see this kind of weather, I do honestly feel they should make the building codes more strict to meet the code and requirements as they do down here in Miami. Guarantee the damages wouldn't be nearly as bad if that were the case.. Hopefully they revise the building codes to avoid this again in the future. Hope everyone and their families are okay and "regular" life is restored soon.

I can see your torment and the disruption of your life caused by the delay of your shipment. Losing one's home, business, or life is nothing compared to that!!!!

The worst was light drizzle with some wind that took out some small branches 5ft-9ft long.

got pretty lucky here at Dover. All our planes were evacuated to Charleston, and people on certain streets in base housing were forced to evacuate due to potential for flooding.
my wife and i got lucky and we didn't have to leave. aside from some really intense wind and rain not a lot happened. we had a couple of brown outs and street cleaners running up and down the street constantly to keep things clean, but that's it. Everything is back to normal as of today.
New Jersey and New York, on the other hand...yikes. My condolences go out to all those affected by the hurricane. I hope things get back to normal for you soon!

that's quite creative
Wow man, you cannot be serious. People died, other peoples' homes burned to the ground; and all you care about is a package that UPS could not deliver on time?
And then people wonder why society is so fuc%^&* up.
Exactly.
Well, hope there are not many people that think like you out there in case one day your county gets hit by a natural disaster, lol.

Just got my power back here in Staten Island. No flooding at my house fortunately. House is still standing with no damage and the 8 seems to be ok. For those saying it wasn't bad, come to the south end of Staten Island and i'll show you some destruction. For example, a house 3 blocks away from me was knocked off its foundation and taken out to sea. Most of the occupants living in the house were killed.
