Houston Tx Tuners?

Can any of you rx8 lovers recommend a good tuner in houston? Reason i ask is because i only hear of San Antonio and Dallas tuners but never houston!

I have about 7k that i could put in my car and i want to do a few things to my 04 GT! I want to either put this 7k toward a FI setup or just buy a **** ton of small after market parts and customize the appearance maybe. How much does FI typically cost including parts and labor? Would 7k cover it or it depends on brand and person doing it?

When I say small mods i mean like body kit, cobb, cat back exhaust, bhr mods, maybe a full paint job, new wheels, etc. So far i just have racing beat intake, exedy stage 1 clutch, and a few more random mods/accessories. Im not big on body kits i would really love to get some more speed out of my 8 as it has 72k and i had my first engine swap a week ago and its like a new car now. It would be cool to meet a tuner and chat about the FI process about cost/labor etc!

7k should cover turbo + install. But, I would advise against that. You should have at least an extra 5k, should you need to rebuild your engine...

An extra 5k? Definitely dont have that yet! Thanks for the warning. That instantly just killed my dreams of driving a FI rx8, guess ill just stick to buying after market parts in hopes of small hp gains and worry about appearance. Thanks again..

I'm not trying to scare you off lol
It's just a word of caution. Some people have zero issues when they install turbo. The most important thing is a good, solid tune.

You didnt scare me off, its just that im itching to put money into my 8 since its almost paid off and i should do proper research. You're right! If something happens to my FI 8 i won't have that 5k to rebuild the engine. You brought me back to reality lol. Chances are im not going to sit on this money so ill look for little ways for minor hp increases and whatnot.

To the question at hand, do you or anyone know of any dynos out here that tune 8's? After i get all my parts id like to squeeze whatever hp i can combined with the cobb on someones dyno.
