How about lowest miles?

I drove my 8 off the showroom floor November 2006 and have 4850 miles. My friends call it a "hanger queen". I love driving the car but I also like riding the two wheeled vehicle.

i know this doesnt count, cause its not my car, but i worked on a customers 8 last week that was an 05 with only 3100km (about 1900miles) on it. i laughed because ive only had my car for a little over 3 weeks now, and i've almost put that much on it (car has ~80 000km). how can you guys not drive this amazing car? i wish i didnt have to drive it during the winter, but at the same time, i dont know if id wanna be apart from it for that long. also, if you arent putting miles on because you think it will be worth more...sorry for you loss. these cars are not exactly rare. there are plenty on the market and they depreciate fast. low mileage doesnt mean its still worth what a new one goes for.

Greg

and moritsune, why would you feel like an ***? you drive your car, thus enjoy it...

I feel sorry for all those that baby this car...they will be the first one's to go. The motors that is...this motor was meant to be driven, I will be looking forward to reading all the new "new engine club" threads in a year or two.

Why is not driving the car everyday babying it. Each time I bring her out it's like the first time. I always completely warm the oil and redline a few times before putting her away. Somehow I can't understand how the engine knows how long it has sat between startups. Also the car lived it's first 1.5 years in the rust belt and there is not way I was willing to expose it to salt. Now in Florida she gets out at least once a week.
Again I have other very enjoyable vehicles to satisfy the need for man/machine interface. My $.02 worth.

This was done already a few times...

Mine must have one of the lowest miles for it's age... just about to turn 5 years old (bought it early November 2003) and only has 14150 miles.
That's what certain jobs do to your car - I hardly get the chance to drive it

I haven't broken 20k yet on my '05 (29 March 05 build, bought new exactly one year later). It's a daily driver - well, 3-season, mostly non-rainy daily that is.

I've had mine just over 19 months, an '07 purchased in March of '07. Currently have 7,700 miles on it. It's a weekend car mostly.

Re: "Babying" the car: Infrequent driving does not constitute "babying". When I drive it, I drive it like I stole it. It's a fun car and I have fun driving it. You don't build up carbon or wear out moving parts when you're parked.

People with more than just one car can't drive them all simultaneously.

I have only

driven my newest 8, 800 miles in three months, 400 in August during a trip to Tampa. Recently realized that not driving it more is like being married to the Pet of the year and having sex once a month.

2004 (Bought May 2004) with about 35,000. I havent driven the car in about a year. Been too busy with work and other entertainment to play with the car. Prolly saved me putting 10-20kmiles on it.
