How accurate are anticipated delivery dates?

Hey Claude -
Yeah, Mazda has set up ways for you to track your car. You should be receiving e-mails as to the status of your vehicle ( I never did because my dealer was never able to get my e-mail address right).
The second way is to call Mazda customer service at 1(800)222-5500 option #4. You need to have your VIN number ready to get information from them, and they generally are very nice about giving out information once the car has hit US soil.
Other than that calling your dealer ought to help although mine really did nothing for me information wise.
All the best - H

allstate,
I certainly will once everything is installed.
By the way, I think the yellow is a nice color, too. It is a lot more of an eyecatcher. Personally, I rather blend in with my dark car. My green 8 is I think very classy with the configuration I have (or will have). This is what I had always wanted: an elegant, classy sports car.

its mid october, i've been waiting for my car since mid august, i got throughly screwed, but bottom line, don't trust the delivery dates until they get really close. i was supposed to get one car, and the dealer sold it to someone else, they made a mistake and gave the deposit to two people... well after that iw as done with them, then i went to another dealer and the dealer swaped one of his winning blues for a arrest me red that was supposed to come in a couple weeks... that other dealer decided he didn't want to giveup his red, but still took the blue... not sure how that works.. that was 3 weeks ago.. then some regional district manager or something told me i would have a car in 7-10 days... i didn't trust her, and good that i didn't, cause 3 weeks later i'm still waiting, now i'm expecting to get my arrest me red with black and red interior tomm or friday... oh and the car i originally ordered through the dealer in mazda was supposed to come in last week of sept, and still hasn't been put on a ship to be brought here... don't trust the delivery dates

No port stuff. Was scheduled for 4th week of Aug. & got it Aug. 6th. Total suprise! Had to do some frantic last minute things. The dealer told me they would tell me when it got to port & didn't. I was depending on that notice to start the ball rolling. Jerks.
