How do I disable the side impact air bags to help me remove a dent?

Someone came up to my car and probably hit the top of it (right above the window) to check if there was an alarm. Luckilly, I did have an alarm, but now I have a ugly dent. In order to pop it out, I'd have to move the side airbag so I can get to the inside panel. S

So does anyone know how to temporarily disable the airbag while I attempt this?

I do not want to pay a body shop to actually do body work. A paintless dent removal job could do this easilly, but damn that air bag!

Thanks in advance.

I thought it plugs in under the seat? I might be wrong.

Yup, disconnect the negative cable on the battery.

That is the reason for disconnecting the battery when jacking a car up. If it falls off the jack the airbags won't go off.
