Well since I've owned my 8, I periodically dream about my RX-8. However, for some reason they all have to do with certain anxieties I have about the car, whether real or false. I'm going to officially blame it on all you board members!!! :D

Here are the two reoccuring dreams I have about my 8. Everyone respond if you have any RX-8 "dreams"!!

1. Two guys (armed with guns) try to steal my 8. I am obviously there when it happens, try to stop them, but they get away (they have guns, for crying out loud). Dream usually ends with that horrible sinking feeling of having one of your prized possessions swiped away from you...

2. I am driving around in my RX-8, loving life. I am at a stoplight and I know people are watching (how can they not notice?). I decide to take that opportunity to gun it at the green light. I let 'er rip, and I end up taking off about as fast as a Geo Metro. I press the gas to the floor as hard as I can, but it doesn't go any faster. I watch as generic cars pass me by.

Is that screwed up or what? Thank god I have had no flooding/no start dreams yet! I just wish one of these dreams would be positive for a change. Maybe it's because the reality of owning my 8 is like a beautiful dream and this is some way of evening things out? Call me weird, I guess...

 

I just had a dream that my car got keyed, I was so pissed, but when I looked closer at the key job, I realized someone actually keyed a picture of the 8 in my car. It was really wierd, and it was an excellent drawing with a key, plus they painted it red (My car is silver)

Hmmm..........

 

Now that's far out... any dream psychology experts out there that can break this one down??

 

You two are obviously suffering from lack of sex, other toys to play with or beer! I never have a problem with dreams because I can't go to sleep. I think about her till 3:00AM and get up at 5:30AM to go to work. That way your so dang tired you can't remember what you dreamed. :D

Dude, I treasure my sleep! The first and third things you mention expedite that process (falling asleep), so I make sure that I do not lack those. So I guess I am lacking toys to play with.

Maybe another 8 would do the trick... :p

I have the same dream twice a week or so since early Jan.....I am washing my car w/ a brillo pad!!! I know that it is scratching the paint horribly, but I just keep on rubbing. It is aweful. A couple of friends are there, but they tell me I'm doing a great job, and just keep going....rubbing & rubbing. A couple of nights I just had to get out of bed and walk it off or have some OJ. I didn't let myself look in the garage, because I knew she was plenty shiny in the garage....but wow, that dream has f***Cked me up several nights. After the 3rd time I told one of the guys I work with and he said he had dreams of chopping off my dog's head. That's a true story. Oh well.

 

I'm glad I'm not the only one with messed up dreams. Lesson learned here... don't listen to your friends... and never ask a co-worker to watch your dog.

 

i dream about my 8 from time to time, and mostly when i do i see myself driving like steve mcqueen in the move "bullit". talk about a good nights sleep!

 

I actually had a dream about my rx8 last night. I was playing basketball in my rx8 against my friend and kicking his *** with it. We played for hours it seemed and then some other kids showed up and wanted to join in. Well, after about 30 minutes of playing i decided to take a break. That was my first mistake.... I had stepped out my 8 and left my keys there tinking nothing about it. I look back a few minutes later and noticed that one of the kids we were playing against had jumped in my 8. I ran over there quickly trying to get him out. After a bit of a struggle i got him out and i headed home. For some odd reason i never even noticed that was something really different about my car while driving home. So I stopped on the freeway to get out and look my baby over. My jaw dropped to the floor when i noticed that my 8 had some been swapped with someone else's 8 at basketball court. Here is where it gets interresting.... I walk back around to the driver side door and there was a hot chick sitting in the driver seat... How she got there i have no clue. She was insisting that it was her car and was trying to drive off. So i so how managed to flip the 8 over on its top to keep her from driving away... lol

Then i woke up..

I just got my RX-8 yesterday, and I had a dream I lost my job and it got repo'd, talk about a messed up dream.

 

I dream that my car will start without flooding.

 

I had one where I won the lottery and I bought all my friends RX8's as gifts... I then realized that I could own any car I wanted, but I kept my 8. What was I thinking? I could have dream owned a Porsche Carrera GT.
