I will go on record saying I have never used jackstands to change a tire... your only jacking a single wheel a fraction of an inch off the ground. Theres no reason to have your body under the car, and if it would fall off the stand its still on 3 wheels.

let me tell you. a car with 3 tires equates to a lot of damage.

that corner will fall, and it will fall hard.

that said, i never use a jack stand to change the tire. i always use the oem jack for this because i dont like how pneumatic jacks tear up the undercoating on the rx8.

make sure you're turning it the correct way. counterclockwise to loosen it...
