ghadrack, i am mad at the cop since i dont think he made the right judgement. i think he heard my system after i passed him. (right in front of him) not 50 feet away from him. so because of that, i am furious. i dont blame him for hte exahust ticket. (people in around here know HOW loud my exhaust is) hahah but anyways, he was just a faggit. didn't even let me talk to him. its like my words went in one ear and out the other.
btw, its not like i was cussing him out or something to make him not listen to me. I am a civilized person who does well in school and outside of school. hahaha

hehehe

The H8tin statement was pointed at the straight up, blanket hate post, not necessarily yours.

All I'm saying is that in a he said, you said arguement you are gonna end up hating life.

My story, I got a ticket for some BS, "improper passing" once ten years ago, the P.O. coming the other way on a splie highway, a half mile down the road, did a u-turn and pulled me over two miles down the road saying that my front tires touched the double yellow at the edge of a passing zone (He was a half mile off, in the distance by the way, did I mention that) and he was flat wrong about it, period. I decided that I was 100% in the right and I should contest the ticket, so I went to court, the judge made a fool out of me by trying to frame the thing like I was calling the officer a liar, when i just believed he made a mistake, but without hiring an attorney, you have no defence against what the P.O. says. Mine turned out well, because the cop didn't show up, but the judge still took the time to tell me that my word was worthless and threatened to make me pay court costs unless I apologized for wasting his time.

Take that crap for what it's worth, I am the king of cynics so I generally play pretty conservatively.

^You prlly just touched on the point that no one else mentioned: the judge is prlly gonna be a complete d8ck to you regardless of the outcome. I have yet to see/hear a judge that didn't seem like a condescending ***** when people argue tix. yes, I know this is yet another stereotypical statement. But, until I find ONE judge that doesn't come across this way . . .

ya, I am an ***... Sorry for venting then. I know not all officers are like that, I just hate seeing the tax money we all use being thrown towards (what I consider) dumb ideas... Peter is going too listen too music, loud or soft. I believe that officers should only waste there time with sound violations when people are asleep though. Who the hell could he be awakened at 11AM because of loud music?

It's a money making thing. Fines produce revenue. The system will get your money one way or the other. You can get a lawyer and pay them or you can pay the court but either way you're probably paying. Their jobs depend on it.

Anybody? There have been days that if I was woken up at 11AM I'd be super pissed. For awhile I didn't hit the sack until 8AM or 9AM.

So don't go by my house bumping your system that you just installed because you think it's cool or sounds good, otherwise you would have woken me up.

Not everyone has the standard 9-5...

As it has been stated, roll up your windows... it saves you a TON of dB... with my volume dimed with the windows up, it's barely audible from 30-40 feet away.

And if you're going to get a crazy system... do us all a favor and dynamat it. I love my loud music, but I realize that all the people out their might not enjoy the same superior tastes in music that I have .

i was gonna let this ticket go. but guess wat??

that same cop gave me another ticket today on my way to school!! This is ridiculous! he pulled me over because of my sound system beiing too loud again. it was on 5!!! that is not even loud. Not only that, once he pulled me over i tried to beggin him to let me go. After ten minutes he gets pist off and tells me he is going to give me another violation for not giving him my driver license. wat teh ****? i was juss asking him to let me go so i can go school and take a test.

so after 10 minutes of trying to convince him and him being a fuckn *******, i got nowhere. i gave him my license and he wrote me a ticket.

the ticket he gave me had 3 violations!!! he gave me a ticket for my music being too loud, my after-market exhaust, and "refusal to give dl". i mean seroiusly, wat thef uck??

does anybody know if i can do anything about it? i think the reason he gave me another ticket is just because he doesn't like me. (before you start flaming me), he said he is not in the MOOD to let me go.

HELP... cuz i wanna lk/afsj;lafkj;lasdjfk;daslfj that cop. hahah

Get a small video recorder and get pulled over again. If you can get a good cop rant on tape you might get all the others dropped. during the 'setup' mention the other times he pulled you over, why does it seem he is out to get you. Otherwise its your word against his and the judge will listen to him.

if i get a recording, do i have to inform the officer that i am taping him?

also, in the tape, i can still "try" to not get the ticket right? i mean i can still try to ask him to let me go and so on....

not sure how well this would work. on the first ticket - def. worth it, on the second maybe less so. on the 3rd ticket?? the cop will prlly show up in court and say he was pretty irritated to have the same car come by still non-compliant.

on top of that, the video would still have no bearing on how loud the exhaust/audio are outside the car.

can anybody give me any advice on how i could refute these tickets? I told him i was going to take him to court. i hate cops that irrational about **** like this.
Turn you music down and get a stock exhaust. That's the simple way. It's a b.s ticket. You got it cause it's an easy stat.

Nope, all the cases where cops were caught on tape doing things they shouldn't the people didn't tell them they were recording. It's your car on a public road, I would rig it on the pass side so your in the frame. Then speak with lawyer, nobody else. Now this would only work if he is being a real dick.

I like to play my music loud—very loud—but when I do, I roll up the windows. And if my windows are down 'cause it's a nice day, I lower the volume… a lot. If I come to a stop at a light, I lower the volume even more, so that if you were in the car next to me—or walking past on the sidewalk—you'd barely hear my music at all.

I figure, just because I like my music doesn't mean everyone else has to hear it. Who am I to impose my music on other people? Besides, lots of people like a little peace and quiet—who am I to disrupt that?

Do you do that? Lower the volume when you're near other cars and people???

lol... i wish i could say yes. but i dont. im too into my music. hahah but i do try to roll up my windows. the only reason why i keep them open is because i try to let out the hot air out of the car or get cold air inside the car. thats about it.
