How long for Mazda service to change engine?

I'm picking up my RX-8 tomorrow from dealer service for the recall engine change after only 4 working days. I thought it took about 10 working weeks to replace an engine. I'm asking because I don't trust Mazda, thougn I'm willing to be happy about their quick service.

BTW, my loaner car was a mazda3. A cheap looking interior, but a great performer. Very tossable, quiet interior and responsive engine and steering. If I only had $15K to spend, this would be the car. A very fun car to drive though it looks a bit low rent.

That's reassuring.

My engine was covered under warrentee for severe power loss at high ambient temperatures. Slight loss at 80 degrees, moderate at 90 degrees unable to maintain freeway speeds at above 95, and unable to start engine at 100 degrees and above.

This was the second time I took it in. As part of an engine vacuum test recall, they allegedly fixed the problem without an engine change two months ago, and it seemed fixed because of cooler weather. But last week with temps in the mid 90's I experienced severe power loss again.
