Mine melted/split today on the way home from work. I felt like a tool driving around with the stupid thing flapping in my face. I'll take it off tonight and call the dealer in the morning. Dang it. At least I'd read the million posts about other people's visor issues and was prepared.

My visor just broke on my brand new RX8!!

I'm pretty livid myself about this. I've had it on order for over 2 weeks now. I'm a former Honda Prelude lvr and if they still made new ones, I'd be all over it. I never had trouble with getting that fixed. In fact, hardly anything ever broke on the 2 I had. I'm in Buffalo and there is another dealer I'm gonna try if anything else goes on the RX. I never had bad service at Honda.

I didn't have time to wait around on hold to find out. It sucks that it took out your radio and everything, though. Fortunately the only thing wrong with mine is that it broke.
Hey that is what my visor looks like lol.. Been 3 days and no call about my visor being in, guess they are waiting for the mythical "Headlight Restoration Kit!". Anyone know why they crack like that? lol

They told me yesterday it is on backorder so it looks like about three more weeks to get one in.

I am also in Buffalo and I haven’t hand any problems with Northtown mazda. Perhaps you should try there (unless this is the dealership you are talking about). My car was just in there yesterday to get the AC **** fixed and they didn’t give me any problems about replacement. Very good service from what I have experienced. You are right though, I owned a 4th gen prelude awhile ago and didnt have any problems with the car either.

That's what they did with my upgraded spark plugs. They ran out of them so they didn't come with my car from port, so they had to put in the regular "old" version plugs. They then called me to tell me to bring it in for my plugs changed on a certain day and time, which apparently would be when the plugs came in from Mazda. Well, they didn't arrive that day and since I already had my appointment they went and pulled them out of the Shinka on the showroom floor and would then replace them with mine when they came in.

It's called cannibalizing. They really frown on doing that here at work. Imagine if someone stopped to test drive that Shinka and something was already broken. Definitely get a sale on that one.
