how to maintain my 8
people told me to let the 8 cool down after you drive for 1 minute before turn off the engine, some says to rev the gas to let all the carbon monoxide out of the engine, which one should i follow?

Your temp gauge (the little needle with the C and H on either side of the tickmarks), needs to be settled in the middle for optimum operating temp. if you shut it off before then, you risk flooding the engine, and all kindsa other stuff (stuff which, for now, is mostly rumor and hearsay).
The DVD that comes with your 8 (check your glovebox!) warns you to rev the engine to 3000 RPM for 10 seconds before shut off. As discussed HYAH.

knock on wood, but I do not do anything special and haven't had any problems.
Several times I've had to move the car...start it cold and move it immediately. Then turn it off and it starts right back up later. And I've never done the cool down thing either.
Now, I do try to practice the advice given here and let it warm up before I drive. But I did want to say that hasn't always been the case and I'm happy to report no problems.

^ you want me to send you a pirated copy of mine?
sorry, OT. Shutting down b4 it's warm is bad, m'kay.
taking off right after starting it up is not a problem - just give it a minute or 3 to get oil thru, then don't get into the higher RPM until the temp guage hits middle.

Flooding does not happen with every cold shut down, and odds are supposed to be less with the latest flash.
I've been too chicken to shut mine off when cold. A couple of days ago I had to pull it out of the garage to jump start my beater. Drove the 8 around the block to get the temp up before turning it off.
