I keep mine unmounted, so it can come out quickly.

i actually was considering it, but iroically so, the reason I chose not to was because i wanted to stay as close to 50/50 as i could.

The more i hear now, I think i'd just call mazda roadside assitance if it were to happen.

No spare for me. The trunk room was one of the things I liked about the car when I bought it, I wasn't going to burn all that on spare tire. I figured it this way: I'd kept previous cars for about 7 years, and averaged about one flat apiece. So I figured that over the lifetime I'll have the 8, I'll have to call someone once, maybe twice, for a flat tire, rather than putting a donut on (like that's so much fun!). Big deal, totally worth it to me.

I'm a rebel. I've got nothing. If I blow a tire I'm farked. That's right... I live on the edge!

I carry a spare, but my car came with it when I bought it. I will take it out if I really need the extra space in the trunk.

I've had one flat in 1.1 million miles of driving, so not having a spare tire in my 8 doesn't bother me much.

I had 2 flats, but I still dont have a spare nor fix-a-flat

Reason :

Spare is heavy
Spare takes too much space.
Fix-A-Flat will do more damage than good.

I know it suck when I had a flat, but I have something thats even better than AAA ..... is called my *brother*. *Yo bro, I got a fuxking flat cuz of this fuxking curb, I need ur spare* *ok .... coming*

SWEET ! :D

I have the full spare kit in my phantom blue. But I'm wondering, how much is AAA annually?

My car came with the spare kit, I made them take it out before I bought it.

Mine came (pre-owned @ 22k) w/ a nice yellow-spoked doughnut. Probably I'm going to replace it w/ one of the wheels already on the car that have a little curb rash on the edges when I order a new wheel for $260 later.

I live on the wildside...

No spare, wouldnt use the fix a flat unless I was in the middle of nowhere. I carry a little air compressor which would get me to the nearest place to repair..

I've never had a flat in 15 years of driving.. now that I've said that, I've jinxed myself..

This really should've been a poll. I advise the OP to go back and do this thread over again as a poll.

Poll would be good! Seems like 80% no spare.

I pray to God everyday not to get a flat and so far I've been very lucky with my 8.

Youre up north so its not too bad. Can you imagine fixing a flat somewhere in east LA?
