85 gsl-se 175,000 kms
04 RX-8 52,000 kms

so i guess 227,000 kms equals about 140,000 miles of pure pleasure and i never EVER flooded a rotary even though i never payed attention with my rx-7 at warming up the car before turning it off. :-)

1982 RX7 150,000 miles Most expensive repair: $700 Original Engine
2004 RX8 15,000 miles Most expensive repair: None other than routine service

More fun, more attention, and more pride than one should get out of a car!

04 RX-8 20K.

I know this is some what off subject but the dealer told me that the 8 has a 300K life expectancy however, I can't find any documents to back this up.

Of course the 8 has a 300K life expectancy. It just depends on how many parts you're willing to replace.

We do not replace parts, we upgrade them...

The RX8 is my first rotary powered car. In less than 2 weeks I have 2000 km (1200 mi)

This is my first Rotary, so I am only at 350miles, looks like I have a long way to go to catch up. The rest was done in those Piston Engines, I'm beginning to wonder if I will ever go back, the Renesis is AWESOME!

let's see, Dad bought the first '79 Rx-7 in town in late 1978 and drove it for 80k miles, then traded it to me. so for me it's been:

'79 Rx7 40k miles 12a
then a street-ported 13b 10k miles, blew up at track day
rebuilt same street-ported 13b 5k miles now sold.

'94 Rx7 45k miles (all street) engine + turbos rebuilt under warranty. now sold.

'04 Rx8 owned it just 3 weeks. 1k miles

= 101,000 rotary miles!!! + dad's 80,000 = 181,000 family rotary miles
