Does a rx8 use more oil than other cars ?

Some Rx-7, RX-4 , RX-3 & RX-2 used more than the RX-8.

I'm very surprised no-one hit you with a hammer labeled SEARCH!

The answer is yes, rotary engines use a small amount of oil in the engine. It's explained on this site more then once. The first 3000 miles you may use up one or 2 quarts of oil which is normal.

Nope! My RX-8 uses less oil than my first car: 1982 Chrysler New Yorker. That used a full quart per month every year I owned it (with 200k miles on it). (except one month when it didn't use any oil I was nervous because I thought something was wrong with it.)
