I was talking more along the lines of the Mustang GT 500, Mustang Super Snake, AC Cobra and such, not the 1974-1993 models, they were **** ugly. But the old 1970 Boss, 1973 Boss, 1968 Super Snake and such were just beautiful cars.

Well each car has its flaws and you have to consider that people who buy mustangs have different interests than us who have 8's. One thing that keeps me from getting a mustang is that I hate how the back looks and the interior just sucks. At the same time the 8 is notorious for problems (ask me how I know) but with some patience and forced induction the 8 seems like it would be absolutely perfect.
If you buy one used, best car in my opinion for under 15k. Put some forced induction on it and best car for under 30k.
I really don't see why people get bothered by what others think of their car. It's not like they're paying for it.

I agree, older stangs are awesome in my opinion, love the 64.5/65 and some of the earlier ones, despise the late 70's to late 90's ones, they're the most common boy racer moron mobiles I see at all the parking lot meets....ugh...yaawn

Obviuously a lot of these dudes on boards like that drive played out 5.0's with flowmasters and other common bolt ons and think just because they can pull on cars with half the power they have that they're something special, just idiotic kids or younger dudes who are caught up trying to prove to the world how awesome they are as their whole identity comes from their car, instead of something worthwhile like...say...their personality.

I personally don't think all Mustang's are ugly, I'd take a 65 convertible or an original GT500 any day.

Of course we've all seen "gone in 60 seconds" a million times, no way I'd take an 8 over Eleanor if given the choice. I'd drive her for a while then sell her and buy 2-3 play cars with the cash , or a nice house

Yea makes me think of a matchbox car, and an ugly one at that. If I was given that car I would sell it asap and buy something else, but everyone has their own opinions on that I'm sure lol.

I used to be so sensitive to what others thought about my taste & thoughts on cars, but now I've changed, and I don't give a hoot anymore.

There's so much opinion & bias out on so many forums/threads, that it simply doesn't even matter anymore, lol.

I'm not bothered one bit if the opposing car club thinks negatively and doesn't state the facts correctly. If they really were understanding, they wouldn't have been ignorant in the first place, lol.

Hell, I still have my own opinions on other Makes & Models of sports cars... And since my wife won't even listen to my thoughts, I don't expect anyone else to. Haha!

Isn't that the truth. Everyone has their own opinion and people always have a car that they will bash. The 8 just happens to be that car for some people to bash. I couldn't care less.
