How often do you wash your (daily driver) 8?
Just like it says, for those of you that driver you 8 daily, how often do you find yourself washing you car?
When I first got my 8, it was more then once a week...then the daily routine started to to set in and I realized it was a losing battle...all the time. Kinda gets annoying ya know?
The poll is aimed at daily drivers only...because I know that sunday drivers are gonna be almost every time its out!

Moderation.
More than once a week is a waste of time and money. Once a month owners - not good for such an investment. Once every one/two weeks works fine for me...stays shiney with Zaino.
Should vary w/ paint color too.

I try to wash my Ti twice a month. I also try to wax it once a month - probably unecessary given the daily driver nature of the vehicle.
But there are always those moments. For instance, a thunderstorm blew through yesterday and I went outside and wiped down the car with the shammy after it rained. I want it to look as good as possible - even when people have no idea.

Daily because it is black. Without clean, shiny surfaces it begins to look like any other car on the road. Body curves begin to disappear and flatten out as dust accumulates.

I heard a report somewhere that around 14% of people never wash their car the entire time they own it. Not one time...
That being said i used to wash mine weekly now im closer to every 3 weeks or so.

I'm in the same boat as you, Stavesacre21...it used to be once a week when I first got her. Lately, it's been once every 2-3 weeks. I just can't keep up with a black daily driver. It also doesn't help that I have to park on/near gravel at work and I live in a new construction condo development. SOOOO much dust everywhere!

Once a week - usually every sunday. Sometimes an extra wash gets thrown in if I'm doing something and really want it looking pimp.
I miss the garage from my previous appartment.
No garage now and the BB just gets filthy so damn quick.

Wash it once a week unless something gets all over the car (parking too close to trees being used as bird public toilets)
I use detailing spray for any small touch ups.
I'll wipe off the rims a couple of times a week to keep them pretty.
Clean the glass on the same days i'm doing rims.

Usaually wash my Ti on average every 10 days depending on the freakin water spots from the rain(ahhhhhh. ......Florida!), or the amount of freakin love bugs. I do wipe my exhaust tips just about everyday when I get home from work, and probably wipe down my rims at least three times a week. I'm probably waxing the car too much, but I probably do that on average about every 2 1/2 weeks. This is coming from someone that has a perfectly folded terry cloth towel over the center console and a matching towel on the drivers side arm rest area. Yes............I am sic and need help! Plus............you could eat off my engine bay and I would! "Good lord that boy just ain't right!"
Several people in the neighborhood tell me I'm going to rub the paint off the car and some others call me the car-**** as I'm always out there doing something with it. Oh yeah.............anybody else have all weather mats over the other RX-8 mats?
Excuse me now as some stuff just arrived from Japan and I gotta open up the box and see what all is in there!

Mazurfer, eff the people who give you a hard time... you're keeping the car clean and making yourself feel good.
I need to clean up the engine bay, but I'm just afraid of spraying somewhere in a wrong place. Our engine bays don't have to much in the way of showy stuff anyways (I guess keep that plastic clean and dressed?)
Oh, and I wash about once a week, or every other week, based on the rain and such... if it's really dirty and it's still raining, I wash it in the rain and dry in the garage.

Hmm..........i vary.........its its been sunny all the time and no rain, i may only wash the car twice a month, but if its pollen season, i'll be out washing it once a week. Probably also wax it 2x a month too. I do about 1500 mi a month so i'd like to keep it clean when i can. Altho i will say this..........if it hits rain that week, i might wash the car the same week given the fact that it will be good weather for a few days or so. I hate acid rain on the car. Same goes for snow, next above freezing temp 40F or higher, the car gets a washing atleast.
