How to stop tailight moisture.
The other day I decided to try and fix the problem of having moisture build up in my tailight, and it worked. I figured I would post and let everyone know what I did (no I didn't drill holes). All you have to do is 1) either buy a new gasket, which is rather expensive or 2) take your tailight out and slowly peel your gasket off. Stick it under some water and clean it off, and make sure it dries nice and good. Buy some rubber or silicone sealant and apply it to the crack that goes all around the gasket. Put the gasket back on the tailight and give it a few hours to dry. Done. Here are a couple pics of my tailight before and after the procedure.

There is still a little bit of moisture that I couldn't get out, but it should clear in a few days.

riiight....but many of us are out of b2b warranty so this is a good solution. it's nice to see a pretty simple and cheap solution out there should the need ever arise.

I finally removed mine to get the dead spider out of it. no idea how it got in there, and the weird part is that it does not fill with water and my other light does. Ill have to try this, thanks!

Here's what I did and mine look brand new and haven't leaked since.
1. Remove tail lamps
2. Clean gaskets with warm slightly soapy water.
3. While gaskets are drying use a wetvac to suck all the water out.
4. Pour streak free windex into the tail light housing and shake it and slosh it around. (this will remove water spots)
5. Suck out windex with wetvac
6. Use super glue to glue and spots where the gasket is coming off the tail light.
7. MOST IMPORTANT STEP: apply a ring of caulk or silicone sealant onto the face of the gasket so when you press the tail light back onto the car it will make it completely waterproof. You won't be able to remove the tail light again without ruining the gasket, but you won't need to since your tail lights will never have water in them again.
Hope this helps some people.

I have the same problem. What I did was buy a tube of rubber sealant from a local auto part store and filled the gaps in between the housing to prevent water and moisture from getting in. I think it was the wind shield sealant was what I use. I don't have that problem anymore.
