Personally I like the RX-8 new innovative personality. Though I don't see it a category by itself its a Sports Car similar to the Honda 2000 but not as quick but almost as agile.

What you guys may not see is that if sales don't support it staying in production, then its will go the way of the dinoasuar. I'd hate that even when the new Rx-7 in brought back I still see a market for the RX-8. People that like Rotary that gets better mpg then hard charging Rx-7 gonna get and handles as well as the RX-7.

Let's hope that the Altima coupe doesn't effect the sells of Rx-8. All it has to do is beat it in one Car and Driver review with a bigger trunk and more comfortable backseats. And we may be doomed.

I hope you guys are Right the RX-8 is obilvious to other Cars success.

Exactly what I was thinking.

You can learn a great deal about the car market from two May sales numbers:

RX-8: 585

Camry: 50,126

In between we have:

Altima: 23,980

Even Lotus sold 217 cars in May. The RX-8 is almost as rare, for a much lower price!

You guys are dreaming if you think that Rx-8 sells and Lotus or Ferrira sells are projected the same. The Rx-8 is a Mass production car that needs to sell more then 585 cars, unlike with the Lotus or Ferrari. Hell that usually all they probably produced was 217-585 to 1000 or so cars to sell throughout the entire world for $80k to $200k per car thats still profit. Wow we do love our Rx-8s thinking that if they sell more then a Lotus that we are safe.

You do think the 8 is exclusive don't ya.

Some thinking that its will steal sales from the 350z maybe but 200,000 sold world wide it can stand it, not to mention already taking sales from the Maxima.
Can we stand that, something to ponder?

Thanks sell or sales, done.

I am wondering how the Toyota Yaris will impact RX8 sales! There hasn't been one 2004 RX8 sold new since it came out!
