He actually got something right. If you have a Civic or a Prius or a SmartCar, you think in terms of "miles per gallon."

For us, it's definitely more like "miles per gallons."

You can get 30 mpg out of a healthy renny, doing 55 in 6th gear with a slight downwards grade and a bit of luck. Doing 90 in 3rd going the other direction you'll be getting 12 and burning a quart of oil every 50 miles if you're lucky.

It's not what you drive, it's how you drive it.

I'd rather be getting 12mpg then 30 in this car. If you're getting 30 you may as well have bought a prius for all the hyper-mileing you'll be doing.

My RX8 does not use the typical MPG system you are so used to. This car uses the SPG system, or Smiles Per Gallon. The higher you keep the RPMs the more SPGs you get. The tighter the corners are and the closer they are together also greatly improves SPG. City driving and highway driving provide descent SPG ratios, but when the roads get all twisty like, I have never seen a car get more SPGs than this thing.

I have never and will never calculate how many MPGs I get or have gotten. I don't care, that's not why I bought this car. If MPGs are more important than SPGs, buy a Prius.

I don't think that is remotely close to the correct accent...maybe with a mix of boston accent and a speech impediment on top...but still

You have to ask How much fun per gallon (FPG). Probably more than any other sportcar like this. It's a blast.
