hurrah!! 2 day install complete!
Finally after months/weeks of having parts laying around, I was finally able to install my PT sways and MS springs this weekend!
Front stuff....HUGE PITA...
We messed up a few times on the front shocks and I think we reassembled/deassembled the driver side 3 times.
Front sway bar, total PITA also. took us a while to figure out that taking the bar out the passenger side was best but still tough to get out. Even tougher to get the new one in...crazy crazy.
took us from 11:30am to about 7:30 pm (45min dinner break) to completely get the front complete. So this was all saturday.
Sunday. Started at about 9am, rear stuff was certainly easier. We thought we were going to have a huge problem after we got the first shock out because the whole wheel assembly we boing and moved but after toying around, we just jacked up the shock and pulled a bit and got everything lined up again. Finished by noon.
Rear shocks done pretty quickly and was enlightening as well because I kind of understand how they align the car and how the alignment bolts work.
rear sway bar = cake...
If people out there are on the fence about these types of installs it really seems hard on the first shock of each side, but when you get it, the other side is cake. Just need 2 people, a bunch of tools, 2 jacks and 2 jack stands and you can do it. I am NOT really a car person and if I can do this, you can.
