No, I was thinking of the RX-8 when I created that username.

Whale/Shark. Something like that.

Anyway ... getting back to the handling ... from an Australian review site :

On cornering, the Tiburon sometimes misbehaves without too much throttle application, the tyres up front scrabbling for adhesion.

The 17-inch rubber chirps without much provocation.

Steering is a little on the heavy side and there is a degree of understeer in this front-wheel-drive coupe.

"a degree" of understeer is not bad for a fwd. AWD cars tend to understeer also. The EVO and STI just make up for the sin with it's other virtues.

For an FWD, I felt that it was one of the more neutral ones I drove. It felt heavy for my liking and the steering was a little numb, but I still think it's a decent handling FWD budget coupe, and I found it to be "beefier" than the Celica.

Just what is wrong with a Crossfire? I don't know a single thing about them other than that they are the constant butt of humor around here. For that reason, I'm sure as hell not going to try searching, cuz I'll just get a zillion joke references. Could someone please give me a short, informative, serious blurb on the Crossfire so I can get the joke too? I'd really be appreciative...
also there was i think a guy on here that was talking about if his auto rx-8 could beat a crossfire

There are a few more important points to consider when upgrading from a Tiburon to the rx8.

- The rx8 is 10mm wider. That's 1 cm. Thats under half an inch. Beware you might scrape the side of the car when parking it. It is the same amount higher as well.

- The Tiburon has a thing called a "Chapman strut" in its rear suspension. I wouldn't trust a thing called a Chapman strut.

- The Tiburon's gear rations are weird looking. I get the opinion this car cannot even rev to 9000 rpm

I hope these important facts make your choice easier.

My wife wanted a Crossfire so badly when they first came out. Lucky for me, when we went to look at it, it did not have enough leg room for me to drive it at all. I am 6'3". The salesman still tried to sell her on the car. She simply told him that she would not buy a car that I cannot drive. Everyone (only like 4 or 5 preople) I met that has a Crossfire thinks they have the greatest car ever made. I worked with a guy that had one and kept trying to get me to race him.

Oh, one more time and I get banned. CROSSFIRE!!!!!

I'm not sure. I keep doing the same thing.

I wonder if I have any ridiculous pictures to contribute...

Actually, a very well thought out and inspirational list but ... totally off topic. Now, back to the beating of the dead horse.

Be careful. Our grandkids may be driving around Hyundai sportscars that blow the doors off Porsches.

30 years ago, who would have thought the Japanese would build the EVO, Supra, STi, or RX-7?

Who knows? Maybe in 50 years, the Chinese will buy out Porsche, and use their technology to dominate motorsports?

No empire lasts forever, and that's a certainty.

Don't disagree. Did you check out the site? The Tiburon is not the only one on there. They even had an Accent! What is the point of that? Every one needs a hobby. I am sure that people wonder why we put so much into our 8's.

Thats funny I once made mention of taunting the Crossfire with my AT and I think someone said something about "Why would you race him with such a slow car?"
Key word "TAUNT". I taunted a GT Mustang this morning TOO.

Disclosure,,"I don't street race."
