if you live in the cold do not buy this car. if you like low end torque do not by this car. if you like a nice interior do not buy this car. my rx8 has worn out its welcome. it just is not a very good car. i NEED a car i can depend on...ok now, i am done. my hands are washed. .i just wish the car wasn't so good looking, it would be a lot easier

I'm inclinded to agree- this guy has posted nothing else about what's wrong with his car. Sounds like someone trying to get a rise out of everyone.

Whatever!, This guy odviousley has a GS modle which is the reason he is not happy with the interior, that is what i get the mose compliments on in my car. It also sounds like he is trying to justify to us all why he is getting rid or his '8 like we are his parents. I agree with Elara, WHATS WRONG? SPEEK BOY SPEEK! Maby if he asked more questions (not just 2 posts) on this site they would understand this car alot better as apposed to just giving up on it. Today where i live it is -24 degrees and "THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH THE TORQUE" Anyways thats just my input. Everyone have a great and safe day.

Whatever. Sorry you feel so inconvenienced by your choise in cars. I love mine and have no real complaints. My wife was never sold on the safety of a small vehicle until we were in a pile-up on I-75. A truck pulling a trailer hit the car and pickup stopped behind me at 70 mph and forced them into me (the truck into the rear and the car t-boned me as I spun slightly. Damage does not look bad for how hard the collision was and my two kids were only slightly injured by the jolt of the impact). I love this car! Hope you get what you are looking for.

'Sez you. The more I drive my RX-8, the more I love it by the minute. There's just no going back to growly torquey engines that shove you in your seat every time you gas the car after having a taste of the smoothness of the Renesis. I also feel infinitely safer in the RX-8, knowing I can stop on a dime and swerve quickly and precisely as needed...and I've twice avoided major accidents thanks to quick swerving.

Sorry you're dissapointed. But really, why did you buy this car in the first place? Did you test drive it? It's common knowledge that low end torque is NOT what this car is all about.
Better luck with your next car!!

Joe don't wait until spring. I think that you need to put your car up for sale much sooner. Save yourself the grief and "by" another car. The new Mustang and 2004 GTOs are on dealers lots today that have plenty low end torque. Go for it.

Troll or not, I'm just suprised by people that buy a brand new car and don't even make an effort to do some research before hand. Then well after the fact, come in here (the forum), and start talking out of their *** on their very 1st post!!!
So why isn't this thread closed yet, it's only serving to pad my post count...

Win some... loose some! I just don't give a rat’s ***.
(I wrote another response but decided to not use it because it was negative. After 6 beers it's easy to cut loose with inappropriate language. So I will rewrite this on a more positive note.)
joeman, I think you are making a judgment call based on your limitations.
1. You must live up north, get lots of snow and not have the money to purchase an additional set of tires just for winter. I can understand this. Buying winter tires is expensive for some people and just doesn't make sense for someone that want to just drive a car and not worry about the weather. I do the same thing with my Maxima. Great dependable car and I just don't worry about the weather. You may not have another car to use so this would make sense to me.
2. Torque... well, hummm, (OK, stay positive stupid... referring to myself), if you are into drag racing then you definitely have the wrong car. You are probably correct. You should get a Mustang or something with low end. I understand that too. I was young once. I think to appreciate the power of the RX-8 is to understand a more mature way of driving.
3. Interior... well... F~@$ off! You’re a Dum Bass!
Sorry, I couldn't help it. I need another beer.

Maybe you had some problems - but your conclusions are nonsensical and ridiculous. Good riddance, troll!
