I am a new RX8 owner - 2009 Diamond Grey Metallic / Beige

Hi all,
I just wanted to say hello! I live in the SF Bay Area and am now the owner of a brand new 2009 Diamond Gray Metallic GT, with the beige leather interior. I will be looking around for local groups, etc, but I just thought I would say hello!

I actually owned a 2005 Touring RX-8 a number of years ago but had to get a "temporary" car in the interim. But now I am back because I love this model of car! yay!!

Also, I used Cartelligent to purchase the car, and they were WONDERFUL! As far as I know they are only California-based (not in other states) but I would HIGHLY recommend them! Basically, they charge you $300 or $500 ($300 for cars invoicing under $30K, and $500 for cars over $30K), and they -guarantee- that they will be able to find you any car for less than you could find for yourself. And they came through! I got my 2009 GT with moon roof for $1500 UNDER invoice, with a great financing rate from a local bank (better than my credit union). They were super knowledgeable about the car (noticing that this year the moonroof + satellite radio, costs the same as last year had ONLY the moonroof, etc), and very friendly to work with. I highly recommend them.

Break-in period in progress, but I love the car already!

Nick

You must not work at a desk.

Its quite easy for me to be here and work at the same time, hence my inflated post count

No, I work at a desk...I am a software developer. Live life in a hazy world of code for months at a time.

Day, night, weekdays, weekends...it all runs together. Just completed the worst of a 3 year project.

I have started peeking out of the blinds again. Wow...there is a world out there! LOL.

Nope...just a power seat....lumbar, tilt, slide, and memory positions, plus a switch on the back upper side that moves the seat all the way forward (and folds forward) then returns the seat to where it was originally.
