When I do my plugs/wires, I generally cheat by only changing one component at a time. Pull out one spark plug, put in new spark plug, put on wire. All you have to make sure then is you get the trailing plugs in the trailing holes. I run non-stock plugs so I just make sure I keep the shimmed plugs in the shimmed holes which is even easier. I've never done wires on the stock coils, but it can't be that bad. I was able to do the wires last time I did them entirely from the top side with some minor forearm damage. Connecting the wire up top, feeding it below and then connecting it from the wheel well would have to be easier.
