i ♥ this car
I'm just sayin'
I have had this car since 2004. It has seen use as a daily, and I would get asked what kind of car it was, as if it was an exotic. I bought it because it handled like no other car available in the $ range and, from that day to this, it has only gotten better.
Then after about a year, I got ansy and gave it the n00b treatment with a first gen K&N typhoon and had a ugly carbon fiber hood. I think I tossed in the REV8 exhaust about then as well. Still, I drove it pretty much every day. Somewhere around 2006, I got a little more serious and added suspension modifications and wheels, and a lightweight flywheel. And the biggy, adding a turbo.
This sent the car seriously into non-daily use and it even sat out most of 2008 in the garage. Now it has better seats, a great paint job (abso-tivly ******* awesome paint job; you have to see it in person) and a decent tune and I can't get it out of my mind! I get in and just drive it around at lunch. Forget food. I get goosebumps when I start it up in the garage, cause I know it is going to be a great day of driving around. I cant resist gunning it under overpasses, just to hear the echos. I rarely listen to music in the car anymore; who needs it when you have your right foot to turn up the volume?
Even tho it was wrenched through several years until it is now a completely different beast, I still just love it...like how I love my dog, or even how you feel when you meet a drop-dead gorgeous woman that is oddly not crazy but honestly caring and loyal and rational to boot--then you find out she is into you. Yeah, I feel that way about this car.
Say what you want. I dont care. AYHSMB.

Most of us are right there with you man!
It was my dream car when I bought it 2.5 years ago, and it still is today. Doesn't matter how bad of a driving day it could be, taking it on in the 8 makes it doable and workable. From sitting in traffic to pouring rain, blizzards, dealing with it in any other car would be agony. With the 8, it's anything but.
And then there are the good driving days......

i lived in michigan and have experienced tooo many times getting hit by peoples cars that they just could no control in the snow.

i could pass on the snow part, but the 8 is a dream come true. I could imagine another car at my age that i could afford that would be as nice as the 8. i miss driving the 8 if i go on vacation...is that bad?

i cant lie, i'd love to drive my 8 in the snow just once, (with all other vehicles farrrrrrrr farrrrr away from me so no possibilities of getting hit lol) but only once.

We are getting off topic. More 8 love!

Got mine two months ago
It still feels like I got it last week. Im an EMp driver and in the middle of my tour I find my way back to the base just to see my 8. This car is so much fun to drive that the only things that can slow me down are the pot holes and broken highways in NwC.

had mine since 2005 . Similar story although i've blown my engine a couple of times by trying to wring too much power out of it .
Now with all that turbo goodness my only regret is that I have no-one to share it's awesomeness with . My wife hates it , my daughters couldn't care less although my daughters' freinds think it's cool . And the only 8 owners around here are just not enthusiasts .
