Got a 2006 Shinka almost loaded. No Navigation/ no rotary polish accents.
Paid $19,750
Has 25,000 miles. Did chat with previous owner.
He bought it from Carmax in March for $27K with 13k miles and sold it in August for $17K . OUCH!!

My question: What now?
What Mods do I do?
I want SHOW not SPEED.
Remember, My present car is a 4 banger/ Mazda MX-3
20 inch wheels? more chrome/polish stuff? USB player is one thing I want.

Don't know what color it is. Looks like Black Cherry to me.

I want show not speed cause I drive a 4 banger and the 8 is much faster than my MX-3.
At my age, 59, even standing still makes my head spin, feels like I am going so fast
I have never been a fan of SPEED

I was thinking of that MPG meter
20 inch wheels..but I want 4 spoke wheels, not 5 spokes.
Any one know where I can find those?

AT or MT? Dropping it and rims would be my first mods. Maybe a better sounding exhaust?

An 05 Black Cherry Shinka, and an 06 Copper Red Shinka.

in O6 the Shinka's were offered in Galaxy Grey, Pearl White, and Brilliant black as well. All were offered in AT and MT except the Copper Red, if my information is correct. ( edit, just learned that CR shinka's were available in AT) This was taken last April at the Deals Gap Rotary Rally where I was fortunate enough to meet another Shinka owner. I love the Color of the 05, they are nothing but BADAZZ!

 

If I was to start over again with mods, I would probably do it in this order. Note that what is expensive to me might not be for you.

(1) window tint (cheap)
(2) clear corner lights (cheap)
(3) lowering springs (expensive unless you do springs only)
(4) exhaust (expensive)

One more thing, I know what you mean about SPEED and it does kill. However, this car needs to be driven fast once in a while (or daily). At least high revs. But please be careful ... and then of course, enjoy thoroughly!

rddragoness, it looks like the one on the right. So it is copper Red. Looks like black cherry to me until I see them side by side.
I think color code on door said 32V

I could not find a 05 Shinka fully loaded at a price I was willing to pay.

Paying all Cash. Need to wire the monies on Monday and pick the 8 on Wednesday.
It is located about 120 miles from me so will be a nice little drive.
I should average about 20 miles per week since I will not use it as a daily driver.

 

I think it's not hard to choose one that is suitable for you online
