Muller in Highland park has been pretty good.
So is there any dealer in the Chicagoland area that is any good? I live 8 blocks from Jacobs Twin, but they don't sell nor service Mazda anymore. I bought my car at Schaumburg, but agree with everyone that they're a bunch of douche bags. Their favorite words are "we can't replicate the problem"...****'em!

My dealer's service department is excellent!
I get special treatment BECAUSE I own an 8
But ...
at the same time, it depends on who you get at the dealer.
For example ...
I took the car in for a blown fuse about 3 weeks ago.
Service replaced the fuse, and ordered me a new cigarette lighter assembly (warranty)
I got busy at work and couldn't get back until this past Saturday.
(Note: My dealer has limited Saturday hours)
I scheduled the service visit and showed up on time.
A new guy behind the service desk told me they don't do warranty work on Saturday.
I told him I have an appointment!
New guy says sorry.
Then the normal service guy comes by and recognizes me.
He says, "I remember you, you've got a black RX-8, it's Mr. Hall, right?
Then he says, "Let's get you taken care of. We have to take care of people who own our flagship vehicles." ... or something like that.
WOW!
Now that's an attitude that will increase sales.
If Mazda had more employees like this, they would definitely increase their market share. Good products, good service, the cars would sell themselves.
Sounds like you guys in Chicago have a pocket of bad dealerships.
Too bad!
All of you guys in Chicago could drive 6 hours south to Louisville.
Oxmoor Mazda has been very good to me.
