I love being tested on **** I can look up in a book. What a waste of time. I would have procrastinated too.

So far I learned in this class (besides of bunch of taxonomy and evolutionary cladistc stuff)

-cane toads are screwing australia.
-We have overfished many of the worlds oceans (cod and sturgeon namely)
-The estrogen in womens' urine makes many amphibian and reptile species settleing around large cities turn from male to female, or be male with egg production partially in the testes.
-people still like to dynamite fish
-mammals (us) only can chew with one side of their mouth effectively. It can alternate, but due to the overlaping jaw shape only one side can be used at a time.
-in the permian time period, planetary oxygen was twice as high(~37%) as it is now(~21%) imagine how fast your car would be in that!
-the primative number of digits on a hand/foot was probably 8
-all amphibians have poision glands
-frog skin goo can make a drug 200x as powerful as morphine, and other frog skin goo has been used to make adhesives.
-coke machines used to kill 2-3 people a year
-most snakebites are not going to kill you, and you should never cut and suck.
-the great lakes are the largest fresh water source in the world, and in a few decades it will be more valuable than oil if global warming trends continue (for various reasons)
-some scientists think that a mass dinosaur extinction was caused by a "dinosaur war"
-a 6-10km meteor hit the earth traveling at 32,000 miles per hour (9 miles a second), vaporized 10% of the biomass of the earth to darken the skies and produce acid rain around 1pH (thats strong enough to dissolve most metals) worldwide.
