I hit a curb going 60MPH+
I hit a curb going 60MPH+. I lost control with the DSC off midway in a turn because I was really bad at shifting and cornering at the same time. I had been through the turn plenty of times with no problem, but this one time was flawed. This actually happened on the 31st of August, but I never posted it. The car didn't flip. I didn't know I hit the curb.
The only indication I hit the curb was the grass shot up in the air and the car slowed down. I put it in neutral and turned it off. The passenger said, and I quote "Dude, I think you lost a wheel." I had no clue what he was talking about. All of a sudden, I saw my wheel rolling down the road and stop about at a pole on the other side of the road.
There were no other cars infront or behind me. Somone across the ditch was in their backyard and called the cops and firetruck for me. I didn't get a ticket. The cop was just as confused as I was. I didn't look like I had an accident except for the missing wheel. There was no visible body damage.
Since then I have become a much better driver. That was my first major car accident. It didn't scare me though because I wasn't aware of what was going on. The car just began to slide a bit in the curve because I accidentally jerked the wheel while in it. That caused it to fishtail and I didn't know how to stop it. Now I know, but I guess its too late to go back and change that. Looking back, I am glad it happened. Sure slowed me down and made me aware of how quick an accident can happen. I am thankful no one else was involved.
Here are the shocker pictures. :D

GO FIGURE!
Your posts are peppered with wanting to learn how to heel-n-toe, doing 180's, "revving through the gears" and meeting people for some drifting.
Do us all a favor...when you finally manage to kill yourself, try not to take any innocent drivers with you. You're an immature little teenager (barely) hellbent on destroying your car or getting your dumbass killed. Hopefully, your parents or insurance company will take that car away from you before you succeed.

Jeez man give him a break
Yeah he should have known his own limits as a driver and the only way to increase your limits is by experience over time, but come on man, getting all pissed and making the guy feel bad isn't going to accomplish anything, i do see you're point of view on this, but im sure that he has learned a valuable lesson from this and thankfully no other people were involved and also his passenger and himself were not hurt, everyone that has ever gotten behind the wheel has screwed up at least once in their lifetime <EVEN if it didn't cause an accident it doesn't mean that the driver did not make a mistake> its part of learning. And yes i am 19 years old with no record of accidents but i myself have made some mistakes while driving that could have ended up bad but i was lucky. Just take it easy for awhile man, get used to your car and how it handles and get a little time behind the wheel because in all reality the limits of the car is beyond that of its drivers most of the time. have fun and keep it safe

Ahhh young drifter, you say that noone was in front of or behind you, however, what you fail to realize while drifting on a public roadway is that one day your good firtune will run out and you will manage to roll your car over and some poor family with children will happen upon the scene and they will have to witness whatever injuries you are lucky (if you still have any luck that is) to escape with.
Do your parents a favor and keep the drifting and racing to a closed track with EMTs readily available.

I'm not getting pissed...just saying that which needed to be said. If there were any guarantees that his careless driving wouldn't get anyone else killed, then I wouldn't have mentioned it.
Maybe I should have sugar-coated it a bit.....
"Junior, when you skidding through an intersection sideways, try not to kill any children on bicycles, okie dokie??"
