I Just Couldnt Let It Go.

so between yesterday and today i looked arround for car that might replace my RX8. these cars are on the same price range as the 8. i passed by lexus to see the new IS350 or 250, that car is like a trap box. there is less room on the back than the RX8, and the front seats you and the passenger would have to like each other cause you touchin arms all the time. so no way im goin to lexus.
next was our good old rival, INFINITY. the general manager was just an ***, he offered 22 for my trade in, but he kept trying to tell me there cars were better and that mazda is basically **** compared to them. when the truth is the only car better than the 8 is the M35-M45 and they both cost over 50,000. so after test driving a Lexus, INFINITY G35 and FX35, TOYOTA Avalon06, i realize. there is no car outthere on the price range that can touch my car. its a feeling you get when you drive, smooth. quick response and the fact that everytime you drive it people look at you. when i got my RX8 i was the happiest man on earth and all these other cars are just there four wheels and 1 engine.

the evo is not really that ugly on the outside, it acutally looks good on red. its the interior that looks like ****. and is super unconfortable, you cant drive that thing for over a hour.

what we have witnessed here is an renesis rebirth thought the cons outweighed the pros but then checked out the competition and saw everything clearly once again

I'd love a Porsche Caymen though or even a Boxster S. Problem is the Caymen will cost over 2.5 to 3 times what an RX8 cost from where I am from. Maybe it's just a dream for me... I can still dream can't I?

If only we were as fortunate as people in the US with such low pricing. I cannot justify paying over AU$150000 for a sportscar. Sportcars are to be driven you can't just cruise around in it. IT would be a bitter sweet experience with such a car... imagine the monthly repayments. I am only willing to part with AU$80000 for my next car purchase. BUT that's gonna be a while. I expect to keep my RX8 for another 3.5 years... so if Mazda comes out with a major improvement during that time... I'd stick to an RX8 series XX. I often try out 2 cars or 2 of the same model from the same manufacturer. If not, I am sure it'll still be a great car 3.5 years from now. Time will tell! Just go with the flow!

What about the 06 Z? I've heard they (nissan) made a few upgrades to the car.

the only cars worth of changing the rx8 are too much money, the Z is definally a low blow.

jajajajaj you jokin right. there is nothing more useless than an american car. the problem with those cars is that in the first 2 months its ok, but after that everybody has one. so nothing special about it. look at the mustang. those things are everywhere.

Yea man, once you start questioning the purchase of your rx8, you soon realize you have no idea how good you have it.

whao, "Infinity" is "our good ol' rival"? how does that work? i might be wrong, but last I checked Mazda isnt a luxury brand and all the cars starts below 30k MSRP.
since you love your rx8 so much why dont you just wait a couple of more years and wait for the next gen rx8?

the G35 is competition to the RX8 as well as is the 350Z, the only car missin in the competition is the supra which should come out by 2007. the reason why i question having my 8 is cause mazda service sucks. the car is great im just afraid of something big messin up and have mazda walk out on me like they did with my tranny. im about to say F!@#$% mazda and do upgrades on my car, i have a friend that worked on 3 rx8s and so far he got almost 500 hp outta them.

i dont understand your logic, G35 is always compared with bmw 3 series, lexus IS, Benz C class, Acura TSX, TL etc. Ive never seen a single media comparison where the RX8 and G35 are in it. All the comparisons of RX8 is against the 350Z and S2000. I dont know anyone that thinks G35 is competition to the RX8, different types of cars and different segments.

furthermore you said that the only car thats nicer than the rx8 is the M. Which i dont understand what criteria you go by, it sure dosnt handle as well as the RX8 and its not nearly as fun to drive. So im guessing you are saying its better because its way more luxuirous with all the luxury features and better interior and fit and finish.... But G35 also has a way more luxurious interior than the RX8... so i dont quite follow your logic. If you go by handling, both RX8 and G35 handle better than the M. Im confused.

neways, good luck with Mazda, why did they walk out on you reguarding your tranny? what happened to it? you had to pay for replacement? that should be covered under warranty.
and good luck with modding your car, Id love to see more powerful rx8s running out there.
what kind of mods does it take for the rx8 to make 500hp? is it whp or crank? consideirng how light the car is, 500hp on a rx8 should be insanely fast.

a 500hp rx8 should be easily doing mid to low 11 second quarter mile and maybe even faster.

Wow i really like your opinion, STi's rock but i wouln't think someone who was looking for an rx8 would be looking for an sti they are much different cars that offer a much different experiance. I don't know what this guy is looking for but it dosn't sound like he want's an sti, an rx8 is much easyer on the eyes at first glance but you can learn to love the look of an sti

Don't hold your breath. Last I heard was that chevy and the plant in canada were having disputed over who owned the name camaro. Chevy crapped out on a deal with then and let's say they are pissed...
