I JUST Got my 07 RX8 - Now What?
I'm a new member of the Mazda family...
Previous car was a Mitsu Evo V and now i'm in a 07 RX8.
Ended up getting the manumatic off some auction so the price ended up like half what i would have paid so it reaaaaaaaaaallly worked out great (pics to come).
Got the Stormy Blue Mica as well which in my opinion is BY FAR the best color lol
but maybe that's cuz its my car.
Anyways... I'm hungry for power and I am already budgeting to put more juice in it so I need to hear the bitter truth or whatever it is ahead of me.
1. Is the process of AT->MT conversion with the clutch assembly etc straightforward enough? any real complications ... has anyone done it ?
2. If i remain manumatic which i would prefer since i reaally started digging the paddle shift thing.... and its much less hassle..... what is the best course of action to go to juice this thing up.
3. Regarding the sound system, the BOSE system sounds awesomazing!!!! and i'm oh so skeptical about fricken wid it, but if i do, what are your recommendations to maintain the clarity and get some CRAZY bass!
4. Anything else that comes to mind..

Why would you buy an AT and immediately convert it? You could buy an MT for about the same price

Turbo.

Subwoofer?
4. Anything else that comes to mind..
I need to go to the bathroom. And please, no gas mileage questions.

oh god,
dude...this is your first post so I'll cut you some slack. All forums/message boards/online communities have a feature called SEARCH. If you use that feature you will find TONS and TONS of info. You are not the first one in the world to own an RX8 and therefore you are not the first one to ask these exact questions. Search for the answers on here and you will find EVERY SINGLE question you asked has already been answered at least 10 times over. GOOD LUCK!!

LOL
I was served as I should, but here is what really happened. Not realizing the plethora of new areas that opened up once I registered, I was so used to seeing just a few sections that I did not even see the whole host of other areas with all the answers as another member had pointed out.
Those answered 2,3 & 4 basically but as for #1...
Note I said I got it on an auction for around USD $16k, so deciding what to get remains for you all the rich and few.

Huge hole is huge
That's what I was thinking.
You can go down to the "Major Horsepower Modification" forum down below, and they got a whole bunch of things down there you could take a look at.

Damage is done. Cant rewind time. Power adders are well documented, do some searching and you will find them. Looks like you spent good amount of $ on it already....another 5k or so (maybe more) for Supercharger setup is prob ur best option for any real power on the AT.
My advice, you still prob have some good resale/trade in value....take it and trade it in on a MT, a nice, low mielage 06 preferably, even if you take small loss (dont see why you would) it will be worth it in long run.
...oh and WELCOME!

Get the Black Halo Racing Radiator https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-aftermarket-performance-modifications-23/review-pics-black-halo-racing-radiator-136614/ and then throw a shot of Nitrous on there.

the bitter truth? evo V will eat this car alive even you spend 10k on a i/h/e+turbo.
you may reach the same power level but 4G63 torque will just tear you apart.

Well I live in Jamaica so me paying 16,000 USD works out to you guys paying like 9,000 USD. Our import duties are heavy!
The other reason is 98 EVO V and its value versus a new car.
The bitter truth is not a problem for me, most evos/stis in this country are stock so if i can whip stock i'm good
I hear the madmaniac Turbo setup would be better than the S/C... not sure how true this is.
