I just purchased a 2004 rx8..what mods would you guys suggest..

what mods are good for the rx8... I am still learning about this car and would love some input...for speed and drivability...cost effective

there are no mods that will get you a real gain unless you go FI. save your money and take some driving lessons. sounds like you are going to need them

I am getting tint this week... i don't know if you call that a mod but it is a good place to start.

start by joining ur local autocross club. and start there. you will soon realize what you need and don't need.

i just got a 04 aswell

so far i have done :

oil change
engine air filter
cabin air filter
trans fluid change
diff fluid change
clay bar and wax

i have on order spark plugs, plug wires, coils, brake fluid, and a set of tyres

you should do all this just so you know your maintainance is up to date.
save the mods for next summer

thanks everyone....the maint sounds like a good start....did a few things.....how does everyone feel about adding a turbo...So far I love the car .Just getting use to the hott,dry weather here in Texas...I just moved here from Hawaii.. well I will keep looking for your input ... thanks..

+1. The stock shifter is good, but the AFE is so much better. The best cost effective mod you can do, IMO.

THANKS FOR THE INPUT,,does it matter what kind turbo...jdm/greedy...and the imo thats the pump right... and is it east to install...just checking .. even if so ... I still want to learn how.... thanks again....
