I may not be able to order one

Well, December 16th is coming soon, and the company hasn't opened up ordering for the 8 yet. I might have to forego an 8 this year, and settle on something else, until next year. WAH!!!!

I'm sorry, you are correct that may have been confusing.

Let me explain.

I'm a manager at Ford, and we have a yearly lease program.
Each fall we have to order the next model year from a subset of our brand portfolio, and turn in the previous model, upon delivery. I've been waiting since September for corporate to open up ordering on the 2006 RX-8. Vehicles in the other brands have been available since Sept. and we have until Dec. 16th to get our orders in.

I was informed today that the RX-8 most likely would not be available this month to order by the 16th. SO.... now I have to decide what to get instead for this coming year, and hopefully I'll be able to order an 8 next fall. Unless I get some notification from corporate that they will extend the ordering period for the RX-8, which I have yet to receive.

BTW, yes I do pay for the lease, it's not free.

I can't get a Mustang GT on the corporate plan this year. We don't have the entire vehicle line available to us on the program, and the Mustang isn't on the list this year. There are many others that aren't on the list either.

But the RX-8 was on the list this year, but has been listed as "temporarily unavailable" for 3 months, with a target of December originally, but now I'm hearing it may be early next year. I'm hoping they send a notice out in the next 2 weeks stating we can "wait" past the 16th and into next year, and still be able to order it. If not, I have to choose something else. Maybe an MX-5, since that has been available all along.

lol... I'm just chatting with ya.... No big deal.
If I REALLY have to get my fix, I'll go out and buy one, and let the wife drive the company car.
