Because otherwise it can't be a 2004 model.

If they release it in February, it would be an '03 model... just a thought.

I hope they release in May anyways, because that's about the time I'll have the money to afford it

I'm not sure I can afford it next year at the current economy situation, but maybe in 2 years. House and yard is getting remodeled at the cost of nearly 3 ferraris (even though labor is much cheaper now), so spending even more money could get dangerous.

The cheapest Ferrari I know of is $145,000, which means you're spending almost $435,000 on remodeling! I would think that you can spend $30k on a car if you're shelling out nearly half a million on remodeling!

Unless you meant used, which wouldn't make sense.

c'mon rich i doubt fuz was being literal. its just draining his budget to the point that it feels exagerrated, as if it was enough for three ferraris. obviously if it were that much he would just buy a different house and the car. fuz, by the way if you are throwing money away like that then throw some my way, i'll put it to good use:D

I am, for the most part. NOT JOKING. My parents just couldn’t stand the yard and the house as it was, so all of us got together and decided to change it. We can make back all the money in about 7-10 years, but for the first few years, our budget will be tighter for sure. We've already spent 150k so far, and planed to spend a total of 370k on the house, and 80k for the yard. And yes, I still live with my parents. ;P I know a lot of friends have said, why not just move into another house? Well, we like where we live: perfect location. No where else can we find a neighborhood like this one: close to the freeway, but can’t hear it; secluded area, but right next to downtown; fair sized lot; low traffic; only 30min from SF; almost no crime rate to speak of. It doesn’t get much better than that.

We have been planning this for almost 5 years, and are at the initial stages of executing the plans. Construction begins soon…

RX-8 is only a faint possibility. Depends on how my mom’s car keeps up. I may give her my bimmer and try to get an RX-8. In any case, the RX-8 really caught my attention so I'm looking at any "justifiable excuses" to see if I can get one. *ahem*

I should add that my dad and I live quite frugaly so we have built up a sizeable chunk of liquid assests. This is from the two of us living as lower middle class when we were young. My mom on the other hand spends money like crazy, (she is from a rich--and slightly disfunctional family--no surprise) and was the main person who started this mess.

I suppose that doesn't matter too much since my mom makes several times (3x +) more money than my dad does... although my dad owns his own business (where I also work, while I was out of school--I'm back in this year) so while his paycheck is small, his actual worth is very high. I just work, no pay--don't want to pay taxes. But whenever I want something I can get it. :D

It was funny though back at the begining of the year. I was deciding to get an RSX type-S, or maybe an audi 1.8T, but my dad said NO. He said "you are getting a BMW, even if I have to pay for it." Like I could or would refuse... I think my parents kinda feel sorry for me since they pushed me so hard to do well in school that I never did anything else. I think I finally cracked in highschool when I started getting C's and D's. And now I just sit at home and work since that's all I know. Ah well.

Sorry for ranting.
