I touch it, It breaks...

I have '05 with 500 miles on it...and while I was lowering my visor it split down the middle. I took into my Mazda dealer, and they ordered the part patted me on the back, said "no worries" and I was burning up asphalt in no time. Truth is the plastic inside the car is stupid. But that isn't why I bought it. I think the interior on the Evo is just flat lame...except for those Recaro seats...

Hmmm I would think a Japanese-made car would be top-notch when it comes to build quality.
Just look at all other things Japanese-made. Guitars, electronics, toys, etc. I know for fact that Japanese guitars are some of the finest made.

The old VWs had generators that would heat up and go out - which would freeze up everything -
got so we would just pack an extra one with us on a long trip
The old Chevetts had a starter motor that would go out periodically - you learned to use a screwdriver to 'hot wire' it directly from the battery
And if you got water splashed up into one you lost generators, alternators, and usually a timing belt
The old Fords had this evil gas gage that would burn out if you went below 1/2 a tank too often
The old Humvees didn't break but they were hard on the passengers - you either carried your own seat cushion or you got used to looking like you had lost a fight and had literally gotten your butt kicked
But cheap plastic sucks...
