I want the Key/Ignition system from the RX8 Revelation!

This one, in particular. Is this offered on any USDM models? Is it retro-fitable to non factory equipped vehicles?? If there is anyone who has used this before, please chime in.

It's cool!

That's the key for the Advanced Keyless Entry system. I've got that on my '07 GT. I love it, just have the key on you and you can lock/unlock the doors and start the car. The physical key is used if the battery dies, or as I have used it a couple of times, to leave in the car at car wash, valet parking.

Yeah, but while you're fishing through your pockets looking for your keys I'll be fishing through my pockets playing pocket pool...

Which is the button that starts your car? The mazda symbol in the middle?

That key is so cool I've decided I hate anyone who has it.

I feel better now.

I don't have this system, but I don't think any of those buttons start the car. You just leave it in your pocket and push a "Start" button on your dashboard. As long as that key is within RFID range (or whatever it uses) the car sense that the key is present and it will start up.

Actually, you don't use a button to start the car. It starts like normal, I just don't have to take the key out of my pocket to unlock/lock the doors or start the car. I turn the ignition like the rest of you. There is a click-on cap on the ignition switch that allows you to turn it without the key inserted. Want to use the key?...just remove the cap and insert the key!

I like it!

I want one for my front door, then I wouldn't have to pull out my keys at all!!!!!

Just bought a new 06GT MT on Saturday. It came with 1 key, this one. I love the ability to open the door and start the car without taking out keys. I don't really like how Mazda went about it. Nissan has a very slick system for their fob, not very large and key fits inside it.

Nissan also doesn't require the plastic cap on the ignition for the valet key to be used, it has a trap door on the end that the key pushes aside when it is inserted. It really doesn't bother me at all though, cause I'm driving my dream car now!

PS The dealer has already ordered a new keyless "key" and valet key for me. Just got a call and looks like he goofed and ordered two keyless and a valet... free key for me

I use the same moneyclip, it fits.. but I'd be worried that the buttons would get depressed in there. Right now I just leave it in my front pocket next to my pack.

I have it also and it's pretty cool. You can also have it in the active mode and it will unlock and lock as come close and move away from the car. The only bad thing is understanding the different type of beeps depending on what you are doimg wrong.

How do you get the fob into active mode? I have the keyless entry too, but I'm not sure mine automatically does the unlock and lock. Do I have to take it to the dealer to have it reprogrammed for this feature?
