well, I was pretty sure I had heard that the eccentric shaft starts to bend at 11k rpm from a pretty reliable source. Then I remembered who had made the original statement. There's this engine builder in GA, Mr. Rick Engman, he was who had said this. He's kind of old though, so I'm sure you're more up to date on rotary engine knowledge.

I've hit the rev limiter many times (all by accident of course )
No damage. The rotary loves to rev but I heard that the stationary gear is the weak link; that it will begin to distort over 13k RPM

i savagely do that to my car all the time... and the renesis is built to take that kind of punishment. just check the oil and make sure it's at the right level. you'll be fine. it'll wear out your tyres though.

lol, quite a bit faster. The extra thrust has been known to shave fractions of a second off your quarter mile...
