If you had to...

I would sell the bike cause what are you going to drive in the winter? If winter driving isn't a concern then I would sell the 8. Just kinda depends.
Or sell both and get something that is a good compromise.

Having owned a CBR (and now owing an 8), I'll give my 2cents.
It depends where you live. When I lived in a more rural area, a sportbike was a great vehicle. My friends even pretended they didn't mind helping me running errands, lol. When I moved to the city, I tried commuting on the bike. It was not fun. (I bought the bike to have fun). Finally, I ended up waking at 5am on Sundays just to be able to go for a fun ride without brain-dead losers trying to kill me at every intersection.
Also, there is the opposite sex factor. While my g/f (wife) really loved going for a ride in the country on a nice sunny weekend; her getting into raingear to head out for shopping or dinner on a rainy night got very old, very fast.
Keep the car. Keep a picture of the bike.

Here is the situation...I am making payments on the 8 and I own the bike. I was hired at Burger King, but it's not enough to make rent, payments, insurance, ect, ect. I can either sell the 8 and get a daily driver and keep the bike or sell the bike and use the money to put on the loan principal and refinance for a smaller payment.

Ouch. I assume you're a victim of our lovely economy.
The resale value on the 8 is rough b/c of this mess. But a bike in the winter . . . scary. Can you dump the 8 w/enough to buy something cheap and good on gas? I know the overall attitude towards civics can be . . . overbearing here, so I'll suggest an accord.
The bike is yours, paid, and gets great gas mileage. Like TAKid mentioned, can you get through the winter w/the wife (or other family/friends) or public transportation getting you where you need to go? At least that way you still get the fun factor of the bike once the weather turns.
Good luck!

Re-fi could be tough w/a job change, especially one that likely involves a reduced income.
If you're lucky the 8 would fetch 10k. Is that enough to pay it off? Enough to pay it off w/some left over?

I would sell the bike. i driven a bike for 3 years straight (okinawa ) as a dd. first year was cool, but after that it felt like a drag. but good in traffice, since you can drive thru the middle of the lanes wihle cars are stopped.

If I sold the bike and refinanced the 8, I would cut the payments in half.

Stupid question, but how does someone who works at Burger King own a CBR 1000 and an R8? Sell the bike, full coverage on the bike is nuts and you will eventually dump it so............

Answer to your question is in the post above yours...I used to do this, and I made pretty good money at my previous job as a car detailer. But I had to lose my job for reasons I won't speak about. And I didnt have full coverage on the bike, it's only $200 a year. My RR is only a 600.
