Ignition

Ignition
Do not turn the key and wait for sound of the engine to turn over like every other car on the planet . . . turn it, and flip it back, the car will start a bit less than 1 sec later(yes I did time it). The delay is wierd at first, but then very cool. I cranked my 8 three times before I realzed it --- Now I wish I has that red start button option!

The starter motor should be okay. All three times it was a quick noise and a pulled back at once. I am not worried, lots of starts since, no probs. But the ignition becomes a lot cooler when you realize it is HOW IT WAS MEANT TO BE. Many people think it is a hesitation thing (an engine temp issue) but it is the way the car turn on -- very cool I think.

Mine used to do this and I remember reading about the hesitation here. Anyway, mine doesn't hesitate any longer. Not sure when it stopped, noticed it yesterday though.
How about any of you other guys that have had the car for a week or more and some miles on it? Is this something I need to worry about?

I have had it for over 2 weeks now, about 900 miles, but the hesitation is still there. It is not really a hestitation in the old sense of the word. It is the electronic way the key sends the signal to the engine starter . . . it could be a red button like in Japan or a key . . . you are really not "turning anything over". It is just new technology coupled with the quiet Renesis engine.
